Dr. Chen interviewed on BBC Radio Gloucestershire

December 14, 2021

On the 9th November 2020, LatchAid CEO Chen Davies was interviewed by Anna King for BBC Radio Gloucestershire. During this interview, Chen spoke about what inspired her to create the LatchAid app, and why it is so necessary and important for all breastfeeding families.

Chen began her journey to create LatchAid back in 2018 when she struggled to breastfeed her newborn daughter. She found that her struggles impacted her confidence as a mother, which led to postnatal depression.

In this interview she talks about how she used her Oscar winning animation expertise to create LatchAid, collaborating with industry experts to design animations that would show parents how to successfully and comfortably breastfeed, as well as creating a supportive community to enable mothers to breastfeed for longer.

Chen also talks about how the NHS / LatchAid pilot will work and how this will change the landscape of public health in the UK.
